How I Love My Reusable Grocery Sacks

I just had to share this. As I came home from getting my groceries this week, I was thinking about how thankful I am for my Bountiful Bags.  They hold SO MUCH. They are SO STURDY. I have made myself 5. Two of them used to be for the girls to bring home all their things from preschool. And the other 3 have accumulated over the years. But my word, what could have taken up 20+ grocery sacks that just get thrown away (I hate those plastic things!) all fits into 5. And since they're so sturdy, they're not too heavy either.

So save the planet! Or at least do your part and keep some of those plastic or paper sacks out of the landfills. There are lots of choices for sewn grocery bags on the market. Here's why I like mine:
  • It's a FULL-SIZED grocery bag! Just the same as the traditional paper bags.
  • It's so EASY to make. And fast! If you have a couple of hours, you can have a finished bag.
  • It fold FLAT just like those paper bags.
  • And it's so fun to CUSTOMIZE it to your own style.
It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 13:4

  1. I need to make some for myself! I like to buy the ones from Joann fabrics, they are always cute and sewing related!

  2. Here in Austin they have a plastic bag ban. You have to bring your own bags or buy a paper bag. Your bags are really cute.
