I'm so excited to welcome Jen to the blog today! She and I have been friends for a long time, and once I even helped her with her booth at market. Her second book, Hexagons Made Easy, has just come out.
Thanks so much for having me on your blog! I'm Jen, from ReannaLilyDesigns and I'm excited to be in the What's on Your Bed feature. I
posted a picture of my bed and headboard once before on my own blog. Finally, though, I can share a picture where
I actually have a quilt on my bed.
Here's what I had before:
I found this great fabric at a mill store in South
Korea. I bought loads of it and made a
king size duvet cover. It was soft and
great. Then, I bought up decorator remnants
and stapled them to the wall above my bed.
I added 3 pieces of wood molding from Lowes and voila- Headboard and
bed. (See my goofy cat, caught mid-jump
in the photo? Hello, photo bomb much
cat?)
Then, as it happens so often at my house, we moved again. Each move is pretty much a new look with
stuff I already own. I say that, we did
finally buy a bed. Now we are in Texas
and a big fluffy warm duvet just seemed a bit much.
I love the bed frame and the quilt. The fabric is Anna Maria Horner and the quilt
pattern is called Along the Midway. It
is available as a downloadable pdf pattern on my website, only. It was super easy to make. I've made many quilts and I'm so happy this
one is finally on my bed.
Yes, I know my bed fixins don't match. I'm not too worried about it. They might match when I switch out the
"those-came-with-the-house" curtains and wall paint. We've only lived in the new digs for about 5
months or so.
Thanks for checking out What's On My Bed.
Love,
xoxo
