Dale Cramer's "The Captive Heart" Giveaway

Update: To read all about Dale Cramer and this series, visit here: http://wordservewatercooler.com/2012/01/04/interview-with-w-dale-cramer-author-part-1/

I have recently been reading and enjoying Amish fiction. Something about a simple life really appeals to me. While exploring this genre, I happened upon Dale Cramer. He has written a series of books about Caleb Bender's family, an Amish family who moved to Mexico's Paradise Valley to escape religious persecution in the United States. These are not only based on a true story, it is the story of Dale's family.

To date, there are two books in the series: Paradise Valley and The Captive Heart. He also has another book, Levi's Will, which continues the story with later generations. There will be one more book in this series, which is due out next December.

From the Booklist review of The Captive Heart:
“In a way that only Cramer can, the lives of these plucky, authentic characters are skillfully woven into the fabric of a richly researched historical tapestry, making for a strong series… The tender ending of the second novel will leave readers anxiously awaiting the third.” — Elizabeth Ponder
I couldn't put this book down! Dale has generously offered one of my readers a copy of this, his latest book. To enter, simply leave me a comment telling me the latest book you've read.

The giveaway will end on Wednesday, January 18 at midnight CST. A winner will be chosen by random.org. Good luck!

Love,
xoxo

  25. I'm excited! I've never actually read a fiction (at least not in the past 30 years that I can remember). I love Christian growth books, finance books and overall books that help me grow. But for some reason I can't seem to get through a novel. But the thought of reading about Amish life seems great! The book I'm reading right now is the 5 Love Languages.
