But anyway, back to this dress. I named it Treasured because of the little person inside the dress. But I also named it Treasured because I think you should sew things to treasure forever. I asked my pattern testers to help me with what skill level it is: Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. This one sits right on the line between Advanced Beginner and Intermediate, so we will officially call it Intermediate. Find it here on Etsy.
Riley Blake fabrics new Penny Rose company provided some fabric. The line is called Olivia and I think it's divine. I cut right into the fabric for the first test. I just knew the pattern that well in my head! And here is the result:
This pattern is for sizes 2T - 12 and shown here in size 6 and 10.
As always, there were a lot of ladies helping me out by testing the pattern. If you follow Lilac Lane Patterns on facebook, you've been seeing them for the past few days. Here I'll highlight a couple.
Audrielle, my assistant, made this little beauty. I absolutely adore the flower print.
And here is my niece in my sister's creation. Love this one too. The same fabric on the top and skirt give the dress a new look.
One of my sewing students is a perfect size 12 and agreed to model for me. How cute! And how Christmas.
Here is a review from Krista, another pattern tester.
I hope you love my new favorite pattern as much as I do.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21
