Introducing the Frolic Pattern and a giveaway!

Well hello there. I feel like I should introduce myself. As most of you know, I take the summers off to spend all the time I can with my kids. But it turns out that makes August-September extremely busy with the new patterns. So, I'm back! Thanks for sticking with me.

I have some fall loveliness in store for you. First of all, my "Handmade with Love" labels that I package up with each paper pattern have been so popular, that I've decided to sell them on their own. You can buy 10 labels for just $4 with free shipping in the US. They measure 1/2" by 2" and are perfect to sew into seam allowances or to stitch around all 4 sides wherever you wish.  Find them on Etsy.
And secondly, my new pattern Frolic is available! This fun little outfit was partially designed by my daughter Anna.
The little orange outfit above was made by 8 year old Anna (7 at the time) for our county fair. She wanted ruffley pajamas. I wanted something easy enough for her to sew. And here we are! She really pulled for the ruffles, so you'll have to thank her for those. This is a beginner level outfit. Maybe not the VERY FIRST thing you ever sew, but certainly after you make a bag, scarf, and pillowcase, you're ready for it!
Why ties? Well, because they're not buttons or zippers basically. It's the easiest way to close up a shirt. We wear these as pajamas. Or, put a t-shirt underneath and you have the cutest outfit for fall. OR make it for a school art smock. We took these pictures on the windiest day! About 40 mph winds.
Are you loving this fabric? It is from Riley Blake Designs, a little line called Sidewalks by October Afternoon. It's not yet available, BUT I have a little bit left over. So, drumroll, giveaway time!
From left the amounts of fabric are: not quite a fat quarter, 3/8 yard, 1/4 yard, 5/8 yard. To win, leave me a comment telling me which is your favorite Lilac Lane pattern. I will draw a winner on October 4.

The paper pattern will be available around October 10. Make sure to come back soon! I have another new pattern coming out next week.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 KJV

Love,
xoxo
