Friends are so great! I had a little minor surgery last week (you didn't notice did you? I pre-posted all of my blog posts.) And anyway, Leisel stepped right in and said she would be a guest blogger for me! She has the most awesome patterns and dresses, including a blog party once in awhile called Wardrobe Wednesday to show off the outfits you're making. She also hosted So You Think You Can Quilt last year, which I participated in.

Hello Lilac Lane Readers! So glad to be here. I am Leisel, visiting from Brown Paper Packages. Melissa and I have been friends for a while now. She was brave enough to join my little contest, 'So You Think You Can Quilt.' And man, can that girl quilt! Just take a look at this beauty:
She also helped me out with my 'Pattern Makeover Month.' Here was her contribution:
Aren't bloggy friends fun?
Melissa wanted me to share with you a little about my first pdf pattern, available here. The Do-Re-Mi PInafore pattern is a cute little pinafore that is reversible-- both front to back and inside to outside.
Looks perfect over a simple, white peasant dress-- hmmmm, possible Easter dress?
Or very hip over some jeans with a t-shirt underneath.
Creating a pattern is a lot of work-- much more than I expected! But also very fun. Now, if only I had the time to turn all my ideas into patterns. . .
And while I am here, let's giveaway a couple of copies of the Do-Re-Mi Pinafore pdf pattern, shall we? I'll let Melissa decide the details.
Thanks for letting me visit!
The patterns are too, too cute, aren't they? I can't WAIT for the baptism dress pattern. So to win your very own copy of the Do-Re-Mi Pinafore, visit Brown Paper Packages and then come back and leave me a comment of your favorite outfit (under Show and Tell) or quilt (under Quilts I've Made) she has made. For five additional entries, blog about this giveaway and then come back and leave a separate comment with a link. The giveaway will close Friday, April 8 at noon CST with winners posted either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Thanks so much Leisel.
Love,
xoxo

I love the manhatten dress. So cute!
ReplyDeletePlease count me out for the pattern giveaway as I am already a lucky owner of it. Just wanted to say that I am green with envy over those quilts! Such fine work.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Twirly-Whirly Dress. Beautiful! But, it was hard to choose!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of into skirts right now - don't know if it is because I have 5 girls that are very tall so making skirts has become a necessity around here or because the youngest (4-years-old) has decided she has to wear a skirt or dress everyday - so my favorite is the skirts she has made - especially the first one for Pink Fig, and her version of the market skirt.
ReplyDeleteI love the Pink Fig (love those patterns) skirts - the first and second pictures! Lovely!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite of her quilts was the first pink one she was making for her mom's friend who was having twins (#18 down the page I believe). The funky animal prints in the pinks and oranges was just so fun. My friends are all having beautiful baby boys so I've been working a lot with blues and greens, so I can't wait for one of them to have a sweet baby girl so I can whip out the pinks and oranges!
ReplyDeleteI love the tiered sundress! perfect for summer fun
