What's On Your Bed?

Hello! I'm kicking off a new series, What's On Your Bed? Well if you've been along for the ride here for awhile, you'll remember that I've done this before. But this time I have a line up of wonderful designers and people in the industry to play along with us. It will run on Fridays. I know, it's Saturday! I hope you'll forgive me as I was finishing up not one, not two but three 3!!! new patterns yesterday.

So I'll go first.
Here is my comfortable, lumpy bed. I love pillows! So it is covered with extra pillows all over the place. In fact, this isn't even all of them. I often include these:
You'll notice the pretty quilt at the end of the bed. It is from my book A Year of Making Life Beautiful: 45 Projects to Bake, Grow, Craft, and Sew. This quilt was sewn by Hollie at Undercover Crafter and I'm going to thank everyone who helped me with the book once again. I couldn't have done it without you guys!

The main bedspread is from Garnet Hill, one of my favorite catalogs. I chose it because it's neutral but still has flair. It really shows off anything I put with it and is a grayish lavender. Also, here is a tip for you. Wanting the bedspread to hang way down on both sides, I bought a king size for my queen size bed.

If you wonder why the bed is so lumpy, it's an air mattress (Select Comfort) and on top of it we have a thick, foam topper. And on top of that is a feather bed. It's like falling into a cloud.

The artwork is the work of my children. This room is my haven and I work right off of it in a little office when I'm not sewing.
Love,
xoxo
