Rockin Robin Sewalong Week 2: Stars

Welcome back all you Rockin Robins! It's the second week of our sew along, and this is the week I reveal MY row!!! Now, if you haven't started yet, don't worry. You can still join in. In fact, if you finish your quilt during this sewalong, and post the pictures to the Rockin Robin flickr page, you can win some fabulous prizes. The Fat Quarter Shop is giving away 2 $25 gift certificates! AND The Fabric Shoppe is giving away a Metro Market fat quarter bundle!

Anyway, for my week, get ready to see stars. This is a fun row made with strip piecing -- and get this -- no foundation involved!
And my little Meow just loves it! You have instructions for 4 inch stars, 12 inch stars and even giant 16 inch stars. Now on the 16 inchers, you'll have to leave off a row on the horizontal and vertical so that it will fit in the block -- but let me tell you it's SUPER fast! You can finish your row in no time if you just use those. Or make lots of the cutie pie four inch stars to use up loads of scraps.

So what are you waiting for? Oh, maybe inspiration! Check out the other designers:
Heather and Megan at Quiltstory
AnneMarie at Gen X Quilters
So go forth and create!
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.        Philippians 1:6 NIV

Love,
xoxo

  4. Love the stars! I stayed up way too late last night cutting and piecing my strips together. I think I'm ready to sew some stars today! You are so darn talented!
