Introducing Bountiful

They're here!!!!! My first patterns are out. This one is Bountiful, a grocery bag, just like the original paper bag grocery sack. It's big, it's roomy, it's sturdy. You can make it out of scraps. You can make it out of unfinished quilt blocks. My girls have used theirs for preschool for more than a year now and they still are in great shape! Maybe my favorite part of this bag is how it folds up just like a paper bag to store on your shelf. And this also includes instructions for a lunch sack and a gift bag.

It's a great project for a beginning bag maker but those of you who have made them before will find something good here too. I always laugh when someone tells me, "I make quilts but I could never sew clothing." Or, "I make clothes, but bags are too hard." If you can sew and follow along with instructions, you can make a bag. The instructions are complete and have lots of illustrations, and furthermore, if you have questions, of course you can always e-mail me.
