a Blog Party

Don't forget to scroll down and enter my fabric giveaway! Ends Sunday!

I'm participating in a mini blog party. It only runs through tomorrow night, so if you want to sign up make sure you do it right away! Here is the address:

I'm supposed to introduce myself. Does anyone else have trouble doing that? I'm a wife to a wonderful husband who care more about us than himself. And I'm a mommy to that "us" I just mentioned. Three sweet little kids. The youngest, age 2, reduced me to tears today when she said, "I love you Mommy." The oldest, age 5, just started kindergarten. He got all A's for the first quarter -- my hubby thought maybe we should try for a college scholarship. And sweet little middle child, age 4, who is so shy but has such big ambitions and funny thoughts.
My college degree was doctor of pharmacy, but I rarely do that anymore. And to tell you the truth, I didn't want to do it in college, but (close your eyes Mom) my parents really wanted me to. And in all fairness, it pays really well when I substitute a day here and there. I definitely don't define myself by it.
I love to sew and cook and arrange flowers. Oh and decorate my house and paint. So this blog is about all of that and everything else I do every day.
Above all, I serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.
Until next time Love, Melissa

Welcome to the party!

You have a beautiful family and your blog is lovely too. What a blessing to be the Lord's and follow Him! It's fun to see the pictures you have put up on your blog of all your crafts and talented!

when selling...its super hard. Hope that God will help you to feel content with the direction that you guys end up going. It isn't the easiest to leave here either...I have put a lot into here too. But it just is too much for us girls by ourselves. And if you start building again, you will just make that one as much "yours" as you did this one. Plus, making a profit of something you put so much into has to be rewarding, right?!?! Hope that having a house on the market pulls you two closer together! You can vent with me any time you want. I have done my fair share lately. Kind of feels good to be the listener again!

Nice to meet you! Wow, you are a sewing junkie. Beautiful stuff. I did a few quilts before my kids were born. I got my first pattern last weekend and I'm going to have my husband teach me to sew a pair of pantaloons for my 2 year old. Wish me luck!

God Bless,

Thanks for linking up to the party. What beautiful things you sew. I love aprons!!! I wish I had more time to sew them. Maybe someday ;-)

Have a lovely weekend and thanks again.

How great to have the skills of a pharmacist, even to just bless and take care of your family and the Body of Christ! Definitely not wasted, even if it's not your full-time career!

So, nice to meet you and to party with you!

Wow, you seem like a very creative person! And, yes, I too have a hard time describing/introducing myself as well. Most days I think I am a very boring person--and very tired. Oh, and very busy.

You did a great job introducing yourself, though! It is nice to meet you!
