Horsey Skirt and a New Contest

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1

Christy, who won my last drawing, has a daughter named Maggie whom she wanted the skirt made for. Maggie is five and likes horses and pink. Wow did this come out bright! The horses and cowgirls are by Kari Pearson, the flowered layer is by Valori Wells and called Olive Rose and the binding is Soiree by Lila Tueller. I think it will be so cute with a pair of boots. Christy, if you take a picture of Maggie wearing it, I will post it to the site. It's coming your way!

I had so much fun with this giveaway, I decided to do another one (aka the big announcement). I need a name for the skirt I designed above (other pictures on Anna's birthday post -- June 15 or 16.) I also need a shorter name for the quilt I'm making (see the previous post.) So, send me your suggestions. You get one chance for e-mailing/ posting a comment. One additional chance will be given to my favorite name(s) for the quilt and skirt. I can't make these the winners because it's possible I will be biased (gasp!) So many family and friends are on my list. So the drawing will be done in another totally random way, probably by my children who can't read yet! The contest runs until I'm ready to close it, probably around the end of the month. But don't procrastinate just in case.

And the winner receives:

Remember this bag? You can choose your own color and even suggest a designer. I can't promise, but I will try to comply. Definitely color though. Hurry and enter!

Love, Melissa

What a cute skirt!! I need to be home working on some summer outfits for my granddaughter. Instead I'm in Mississippi relaxing and having fun with family. Oh the sacrifices I make :D

Love the skirts, and that bag. Oh lala, I love it and I love Amy Butler. For your quilt your working on, how about just "Fruit of the Spirit".

How cute is that. How about Ready to Dance. It looks like when you put on a swirly dress on a little girl; they just have to twirl around? My girls loved to do that.

Love the purse!

So tired today. It was not so bad as far as warmth outside. Good thing. Our air conditioner quit working last night. Sad.

Blessings!

Found your blog via sew mama sew. Love it! I would call those cute skirts "Double Ruffle". My little girl would love those. She loves to dance around and twirl. Your quilt is going to be so pretty, too! Great job! I'd call it "Fruit Basket". Thanks for including me in the giveaway. That bag is awesome. Check out my blog when you get a chance, too. thanks! Oh what fun! What about "All a flutter" for the skirt...it reminds me of butterfly wings. And for your lovely quilt, I thought, "Let their be Light" I think your quilt has beautiful colors. Anyway, that is my two cents and I would love to be your winner. The bag looks super. Thanks
